GM-free is best for South Australia

South Australia has banned the cultivation of genetically modified crops since 2004. This has preserved the state's important GM-free status for marketing purposes. Global demand for non-GM foods is increasing and South Australia's clean, green image provides farmers and businesses with a lucrative marketing and price advantage.

However, the Marshall Liberal Government has announced it will lift the ban. This will happen on 1st December unless we act fast.

Take action!

A Greens' motion disallowing the government's attempts to undermine the GM ban will be debated in the Legislative Council on 27th November.

Please ask the ALP and SA-Best to support retaining the moratorium and vote YES to the disallowance motion. This will keep the state GM-free until 2025, as Parliament agreed in 2017.
